Episode 6 Review (Welcome to the Classroom!) Episode 6 (Welcome to the
Classroom!) Review
Well, somebody made progress,
sort of. Sato after a talk with Misaki suspects Yamazaki of having a
girlfriend. (before this was an important lesson of, "Hey, if you are having
self confidence issues, be mean to everyone else.”) And so Sato basically blows
a handle, going through scenarios of how badly this could end up. So he does
the sensible thing of following Yamazaki to his college, and finding things out
from there. Once he’s there, he accidentally winds up in a free classroom. If
only real colleges let you get in that easily. Anyway, things didn’t go well.
They went bad. Running out of the room screaming badly. This time it was a
little more sad than funny, but I couldn’t help at laughing. I feel for Sato,
especially since this episode dealt with environmental awkwardness, and trying
to deal with that. But in the end, he did find Yamazaki, and his "girlfriend.”
And he basically is friendzoned from hell. Sato does the touching thing and takes
Yamazaki and buys the lie of it being Yamazaki’s girlfriend, despite hearing
she likes another dude. It ends with a reflection of this with another
conference with Misaki. This was a touching simple episode. Kind of the
standard NHK episode. A lot of good, and not much bad. We had more of what I
like, and more good conversations. Definitely a solid four.
