Top Ten Fable II Characters

Top Ten Fable II Characters

10:
Lady Grey: This is one of the two characters on this list that changed because of my Fable one experience. When my brother played Fable II, and I learned Lady Grey made an appearance, I really was taken out of my seat. Lady Grey was one of the characters who’s outcome changed over your decisions, and had a lot of good character. In this game her role harshly changes, and she’s exclusive to one mission. Even though her actual performance is greatly reduced, I just got to much of a kick on this mission not to include her in this list.

9:
The Dog: I actually was a little let down with the dog aspect. When I learned about the dog I didn’t know what to think, but as I thought about it, I thought it would be great because an animal is an amazing way to use emotion. I didn’t get any emotion other than the beginning and end of Fable II. It’s still good, but not nearly how good I thought would be. I still had fun with it, but in the end its just a mediocre gimmick, but still is good enough to make the list.

8:
The Commandant: The Commandant may seem like your typical Darth Maul rip off but… okay he’s like him a lot. But he’s still a bad ass villain, and actually reflects your character, as your choices change his actions toward you. He’s a dick, but he made the time in the spire that much more awesome. His time in the spire might have sucked Lucien’s spotlight, but fuck it, he’s still awesome!

7:
Rose: A thing I love about the Fable franchise (or at least the first two) is that you start off as a child. You feel a much better adventure, and this time you have a sister named Rose. Male or Female, you bond with Rose. She is a necessary key for Lucien’s character, and she did her job wonderfully, and has a good voice actress.

6:
Hammer: Hammer is one of the characters you tell how much effort was put into. Out of all of the characters she’s the only real friend your character has besides the dog. She represents strength, and is still very dynamic, and is far from the big stupid chick that slams shit down with a Hammer. Her back-story as "Hanna,” I feel was great. And she’s one of the characters that make you feel, I only wish like all the characters she had just a little more screen time.

5:
King Lucien: Look, I knew nobody would ever beat Jack of Blades. But damn does Lucien try! His first few actions are some of the strongest in the game, if not the strongest. I wish he showed a bit more emotion, and I still love him, but for a main antagonist I expected just a bit more and… a final boss battle... But he’s a good second for favorite villain in the Fable franchise, and IS WAY BETTER than any villain introduced in the third entry.

4:

Garth: Garth is pretty much all I could hope for in a Hero of Will. He is amazingly well written, and is much more fun to play alongside then the others. I love his outfit, I love his swag, and I really can’t think of anything he did wrong. Other than not having enough screen time, he was awesome. I was highly impressed, and I’d love it if he ever showed up again somehow. (if they did it in Fable 4 good, but they probably won’t)

3:
Reaver: Reaver is my kind of character. One of my favorite lines of his goes like, "I guess we’ll work for now, but I’ll probably kill you later.” Or how about, "What he’s betraying me! Right when I was betraying you… how inconvenient.” These are my kind of characters, and I love Reaver. Again his only problem was not having enough screen time. He does everything right, has an amazing voice actor, and is the best written in the game. He would have made my number two if I hadn’t played Fable one, but I somewhat feel like a dick only giving this guy the third place.

2:
Theresa: Theresa is an amazing character. Her mysterious side, and isn’t always in your ear like the Guild Master. She holds the Fable franchise as the mentor for you, and is also great if you played the first game. Best back-story you didn’t know if you hadn’t played Fable one. But when I found out it was her, my jaw just dropped. Not to mention she made the end. And by end I mean the final moment. (gives creepy smile)

1:

The Hero: When I replayed Fable II, I really loved the hero. The first time I was simply getting by, and not really doing much with my character. Then for the first time in the franchise, I played as a female hero. She was the second best character I made, she was good, and a will user. I thought the female’s got better hair, and this time I just liked my character a lot more. I really didn’t see that coming, as I thought I’d laugh at being a chick (I only laughed in that screaming scene in the tattered Heroes’ Guild) but no, I had made a hero I really liked. This image doesn’t look like it, but that’s something I like. I know a brilliant character nobody knows about, and even with blue glowing skin, she looks a million times better then my ugly ass demon guy from my first play through.
