All right, we begin our episode with the one kind of cool villain beating the shit out of the race dude. (I’m actually starting to feel a little guilty not learning his name) Meanwhile, Naruto and the others are dragged down by the Chunin Exam guys. But Naruto gets everybody out with a very cool use of the Rasengan. After that they show up, only to get their asses handed to them by the villain guy who shot them up with some poison needles. Meanwhile the other runner guy gets to the shrine, and is taking a break ‘cause he knows he’ll win. Typical I’m a cocky douche thing to do. And Naruto and the others haul up in this cave while they recover, and then there’s a FLASHBACK of the racer dude who was once in the Leaf Village, and in an exact situation Naruto was in from the beginning, except you know, without Iruka, and he was more interested with making him join him rather than killing him. But then Naruto runs out of the cave with him on his back, and they plan to win this! All in all I don’t really have any real complaints with this episodes. It’s a good filler, and I’m happy I can say that there’s at least one I can say is actually good. It didn’t bore me, and the new characters aren’t half bad even if a little bland. I wouldn’t want this arc to continue for more than like two episodes, but hopefully it gets cleared, and we can all go back to normal, and I can watch Naruto and Sasuke fight finally.
