Kingdom Hearts II: Xaldin first appears in Kingdom Hearts II in the Beauty in the Beast’s storyline. And he was the first organization member I ever fought, and it was awesome. His goal was to turn the beast into a heartless, which he came pretty close to doing, and would have succeeded if not for Sora and the gang. They stop his plan, and when he comes around again they face off, and it’s a pretty epic fight. I remember as a kid just getting my ass whopped by him, and then King Mickey had to come save my ass, and I finally beat him. It was so fulfilling to actually take down an organization member, and I felt like such a little bad ass as a kid. Sure I depended on a little mouse to beat him, but I did it! As for Xaldin himself, he’s not that great. He’s just a simple cold guy who you imagine a single sided main antagonist to be. He’s not like Saix where he is simply the big guns, and is good at it, but he’s a simple wall to get past. And with these organization members they do little things like add particular weapons and attributes that allow me to like them a little better, and even though they aren’t that great, they do feel fulfilling for side characters. I like Xaldin ever more than Luxord who I’ve already reviewed. He’s also a master of wind, and that in itself is really awesome. I just wish he could fly, and Sora and him would have fought in the sky, that would have made it even better.
