Episode 4 Review Episode 4 Review (Piccolo's Plan)
All right, so it’s been a couple months since I’ve reviewed a DBZ episode, and since I still plan to review the whole series as well as other TV shows and anime, and I finally had some free time, I felt it was a good time. In this episode there is not a lot of character growth, but you do get more of the characters. For instance Raditz is still an ass and makes fun of Piccolo for being green some more. (I find it funny that what considered to be the most evil character in the series before Raditz is looking like an idiot in front of him) Also, there are a few classic moments in this episode. You get most of the fight, including the famous scene where Goku had Raditz’s tail. It even ends on a cliff hanger of Gohan bursting from Raditz’s Saiyan spaceship. In the end it’s a good episode, and the whole Raditz part to me was always classic. On a downside I don’t like the art style of the beginning of DBZ as it is later, Raditz’s dialogue annoyed me at times, and there was a random scene with Chi-Chi that didn’t make sense to me. (Apparently you don’t know the grade of your home schooled student until you see the paper, and also if you become good at math you can become an astronaut) Nothing really that bad, but I feel this episode was just to smooth out the momentum for the next episode, which I know will be a little more of a bang.
