The Shaman King Tournament continues, and Yoh’s next opponent is Faust the eighth. We meet Faust while Anna is talking with Silva, and Silva warns Anna Yoh should forfeit the tournament, as Faust would be likely to kill him. As for Faust, he is really bizarre. His spirit is well, a skeleton, his ex to be exact. And he’s really big on the dead, and wants to eventually be able to give life to the dead. He begins his fight with Yoh, which pretty much defeats Yoh before he can even get in spirit form. He’s doing a little experiment of Morty, but Yoh comes into play, and the episode ends as their battle is really getting good. As for the episode, it’s above average for me. I remember Faust from the game, so luckily I already am used to him, but I don’t really want another new character right now, not unless executed well, which Faust kind of does. I don’t love him, he’s creepy, and works for a villain, (and probably future hero as I’m guessing) but I still don’t find the episode all that great. It’s a high six, but still, I just didn’t think that good of one.
