Sag My Pants gets a 5/5

First off, as of the time of this writing I would like to say Hopsin is my favorite rapper. I haven't listened to a ton of rap, but from what I hear he's the best, and actually raps about real music rather than what most rappers rap about nowadays. From that, I would like to say that sag my pants is one of the few songs Hopsin doesn't go much into a deeper meaning, which is why I gave the meaning a seven out of ten. But the rest I love, besides the meaning aren't as up to par as they usually are. The only other quirk is that some things Hopsin says in here contradicts other things he says. Like, "I have no favorite rapper because all you suck," even though I know his favorite rapper is Eminem. Sure it could easily mean no favorite rapper out right now but still. Also, he seems to act like he hates haters, then says acts like a hater himself. The only quirk I have with Hopsin's music is some of it contradicts itself, but besides that I love his music. But besides that I have only one other problem, he goes to far on dissing other rappers. Now, I'm not fans of the other rappers, but as this is one of Hopsin's biggest songs, I don't want people to think all he does is diss rappers. There's a reason the music video version of this has a lot more dislikes than ill mind of Hopsin 5, or his other bigger videos. And none of the disses are real disses, there more like parody disses. Hopsin rarely ever gives real disses that say fuck you to the other rapper, and in this he gives zero, but still the song goes a little into it. But there are other reasons why this is one of my favorite Hopsin songs. This one I've listened to the most, and even though it's not best song, it sounds possibly the best. This one I love the beat, the lyrics sound good if that makes sense, and I've listened to this one song well over a hundred times. One reason is because when I want to play a Hopsin song loud, this one seems to be the first on the list. The song also seems to just fit the theme of saying fuck you to those who Hopsin is against. Not only is fuck you in the lyrics, but he goes on about his old Ruthless Record deal (he does that on occasion). I the one good thing I feel when he is dissing the other rappers is his aggression towards what rap has become nowadays. That fits into the fuck you theme of this song, but I feel he has real emotion and reason behind it, but I actually know where those feelings and reasons are in other songs, so those songs actually help. For instance if I hadn't listened to his other songs, this song would be okay. If the song didn't sound so good, and it didn't have talent behind the lyrics, I would probably shove it to Hopsin's more bad tracks, such as Slurpin or maybe one or two more. But I love too much in the song, and I can't but help place it with my favorites. But to get back to what the theme of fuck you is, I think that's a good reason to call it Sag My Pants. That just adds to symbol of he doesn't give a fuck, which is pretty much what is meant when people sag their pants anyway. The album Raw is full of excellent tracks by Hopsin, but this one might just be the best, and possibly the best Hopsin song, but only under a different light. I wouldn't say this is my favorite, and I'm pretty sure my own fav will be somewhere on the upcoming album Knock Madness. But for now, I will say Sag My Pants is still an excellent track, and WAY better than most of the rap music coming out nowadays, something Hopsin is trying to change.

(Post Review) First off, Sag My Pants was the first song I reviewed, and I didn't really know just how to rank songs yet. But after awhile I did, and Sag My Pants fell more on an 4. Especially since after listening to a lot more music, Hopsin was no longer my favorite rapper. I still really like the song, and know it should be an 4, but I just can't for some reason. Despite the kind of crappy lyrics in the hook, the kind of strange verse where Hopsin is saying he's an Illuminati product and a brainwashing king, (apparently he was directing this as the other rappers, and was in a way fighting fire with fire, and used this song to help him get big) Anyway, before I didn't really see the song completly as I think I do now, and the song deserves a high 4, but I'm keeping it a 5 for the sake of keeping the review's integrity.
